Again, "creating new jobs"! What are they and how many. What will be done about ensuring better vacancy to applicant matches. What are you going to do about reversing the other, earlier trends that started to empty high streets, e.g. out of town retail parks, poor redevelopment planning, reducing rental costs etc? Why have more city centre housing. City centres need to be able to grow; they shouldn't be hemmed in. There also needs to be more multi-purpose events venues that can also provide local sports provision in competition size arenas .

The city centre is a pale shadow of what was once a vibrant centre. Lack of a cinema and restaurant choice shows how far we have fell behind other towns and cities. You only have t o look at Telford to see that they have improved the area around the shopping centre !!!

Better education on litter and fly tipping, all the above is blighted by this issue.. Solve this and a lot of things will look better

As a city council you have destroyed a once thriving night life and night time economy the town centre is a literal ghost town at night

As a city council based employee , I appreciate that i have been able to work effectively at home and retain my salary throughout the Covid period. However, this must have had a massive impact on the city centre businesses - loss of footfall and shopping power. To help generate the city shopping, I suggest that there is a targeted campaign to encourage city based employees who have been able to work at home to undertake their Christmas shopping in the centre - to payback the city for enabling homeworking / keep money in Wolves. As an added enticement, maybe the retailers could offer discounts on quiet days / employees are given, say 2 hours off work to shop in the city? this could be advertised through company websites etc. so long as social distancing rules applied, may help bring people back to the centre?
